
In case you are wondering, neither (V) nor (Z) is the person who finds and inputs the polls into the database. So, we write the day's posting not knowing what will appear in this section. Today's polls align pretty well with what we wrote today, however. That would be even more true if we had not held an item on the Texas Senate race, and how Republicans are getting desperate. Look for that one on Friday.
Our particular setup is not well-situated to accommodate serious third-party bids. However, the independent Dan Osborn is actually at 48% in that YouGov poll of Nebraska, which is why we have the state as slightly purple in our map today. That also makes Nebraska one of three ties we have, because neither a Democrat nor a Republican is leading.
