On Nov. 3, 2020, we posted a survey for readers to take. We had 104,867 visitors that day and 10,850 responses. This is a response rate of 10.3%, something a lot of pollsters would die for these days. Below are the results. Four things hit us smack between the eyes when looking at them.
- The readership skews heavily Democratic
- Almost no readers are below 30
- Only 14% of our readers are women
- Our readers are far better educated than the country at large (54% have a post-graduate degree vs 13% nationally)
It is even worse when we combine characteristics. Out of our 10,850-person sample, only 20 were women under 30. That's 0.2%
Anyway, here are the answers to the questions.
