Romney Wins Puerto Rico     Permalink

Mitt Romney swept to a huge victory in Puerto Rico yesterday winning 83% of the vote and all 20 delegates that were on the line. There are also three RNC delegates who are formally unpledged but are likely to be Romney delegates as well since the island's leadership supports Romney.

According to the AP, after Puerto Rico, Romney has 521 delegates, Rick Santorum has 253, Newt Gingrich has 136, and Ron Paul has 50.

Tomorrow Illinois votes. A Santorum victory would be a big upset and reset the race as various polls have shown Romney ahead.
